solidária

Graduates of the course in International Relations have, in addition to the many skills and abilities acquired on the course, a "espírito crítico e à postura solidária, tolerante e pacífica". I get the meaning, just can't think how to say it in English. It's always a problematic word, that one.

socially aware
I know this is not a direct translation, but in teh context it makes more sense to me as we are talking about a general attribute of teh students rather than being "supportive" of something in particular.
Example sentence:
“My experience here has been academically strong and socially aware,” Craig said. “I’ve learned to appreciate the meaning of giving back.”

I thought of these two.

Yes, it does. But I thought "compassionate" had a close meaning.
Here's part of the dictionary definition for "solidário":
5.Aderido a causa, empresa, opinião, etc., de outro(s):
"O jornal ficou solidário ao governo."
6.Que partilha o sofrimento alheio, ou se propõe mitigá-lo:
"Foi solidário com o amigo quando este perdeu a mulher."

Note from asker:
Maybe. But doesn't "solidária" carry other meanings too? a willingness to help one's fellow man? (bit long-winded). |

How about unified? indivisible?

How about unified? indivisible?
Note from asker:
that's the idea, but how to convey it as an adjective (if that is even possible) |
