Don't know of any shorter way to say it. Rights of way crisscross the UK for a variety of different "passers-through": for access or for recreation. This would fall into the first category but I've never come across a specific term.

Droveway; Drove road
There is a long tradition of herding cattle between England and Scotland. The main route ways usually led over the upland area of the Cheviots. Some of these routes, such as Ermspeth, have Anglo-Saxon names suggesting that they have been in use for over 1000 years. They are often cut by large cross-dykes, which help control the passage of the herds. The movement of cattle along these routes died out in the post-medieval period.

agree  translatol: Although they aren't 'roads' in the modern sense but rather paths (I've seen many), so 'droveway' might be better.

  -> I know what you mean -I too have walked along many of them- but I've always heard them referred to as drove roads in English -a Spanish friend of mine did his PhD on the cañadas & it was always translated that way:-)
