Spanish term or phrase: Mientras más amistad, más claridad.
I am working on a text that describes how different cultures do business. This seems to be explaining the belief in certain Spanish-speaking countries that "the friendlier you are with someone, the more open/specific you can be." I wanted to know if I am getting the essence of this phrase, first of all, and if anyone can think of an equivalent saying in English that gets the same idea across.
