A lubricant seal is provided at the end of the first cooling section. The pressurized cooling pipe terminates in a water seal located inside a water seal box. The cooling system incorporates a pressurized water circulating system including a pump, a heat exchanger and a storage tank. Downstream of the water seal box the expanded sleeve (not drawn to scale) proceeds into a drying section and through a "pull-out capstan" device from where it continues to a sleeve take-up. The equipment utilized downstream of the pressurized cooling pipe is standard power cable manufacturing equipment.
