English term

buck brush (urgent)

English to German Art/Literary General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters
pseudowiss. Übersetzung zum Thema "How to win friends"

When I was five years old (author born late 19th ct.), my father bough a littel pup...He was the light and joy of my childhood. Every afternoon he would sit in the front yeard with his beautiful eyes staring steadfastly at the path, and as soon as he heard my voice or saw me swinging my dinner pail through the buck brush, he was off like a shot, racing breathlessly up the hill to greet me with leaps of joy and barks of sheer ecstasy.

Was bitte ist ein "buck brush" und was macht man dort mit dem "dinner pail"? TALIA

Example sentence:

Chiefly West any of various shrubby plants, esp. of the honeysuckle family, fed on by deer

With regards to a dinner pail - this problaby means a bucket in which food is carried.

agree Nicole W. : Agree. I found another expression for "dinner pail": Menagereindl. This seems to be an outdated Austrian expression. http://www.dict.cc/?s=dinner pail
