Polish term

mys'lal.em. z.e tam be, dzie wesele, a tam be,dzie tylko wesolo

Polish to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings aphorisms
just a remark;
how to better translate it into Ukrainian and Russian/ Italian?
Ukrainina: ya dumav, shcho tam bude vesillya, a tam bude til'ky veselo
Russian: ya dumal, sho tam budyet svad'ba, a tam budyet tol'ko vyesyelye
Italian: pensavo che ci sarebbero le nozze, invece, ci sarebbe solo un divertimento

Vitals Oct 25, 2008:
Though I got teh points, but I do agree with Maciej and *eva*. I would react the same. Rules are rules.
M.A.B. Oct 25, 2008:
What is the final language pair that you need? You cannot ask for translation into 3 languages in one question...
Ewa Nowicka Oct 25, 2008:
*not heard "Thank you" that is
Ewa Nowicka Oct 25, 2008:
why did you choose the answer that didn't provide it? I'm not fighting for points here, I just find it frustrating when I waste my time and not only have I heard "Thank you", I am also accused of not reading properly
Ewa Nowicka Oct 25, 2008:
Then please read the rules before you use this site. If you want translation into Russian then you post your question in Polish to Russian and so on. Apart from the rules, since you asked about Italian translation,
Ewa Nowicka Oct 24, 2008:
No, Ivan, the question was posted as POLISH TO ENGLISH translation, the rest was just a REMARK. Nevermind.
Vitals Oct 19, 2008:
Do you need the translation into English at all? Or just the other three languages?

it's not literal but preserves the alliteration:
wesoły / wesele
married / marry

otherwise:

I thought there would be (they would have) a wedding but they will just have a good time there
Note from asker:
there was no question as to the translationof my phrase into English- plz, see the question: Ivan
please, read the text of the question: it mentions only 3 lanuages: Ukrainian, Russian and Italian. Ivan
