hypnogonic

This doesn't seem to be a proper medical term, rather an obscure pop science/metaphysical term meaning hallicinations and/or sensations that occur in a state near sleep.
I checked the morphology, and "gon" is a Greek root, same as "gen" but "hypnogenic" (different meaning, also pop science), "somnigonic" and "somnigenic" didn't pan out.

One reference for hypnogeneic - ALthough here they say "sleep causing", I can easily see how "hypnogenic" would also mean "derived from sleep" hypno-sleep, gen-source, ic-adjective marker.
