Crab / Lobster Creel:
Crab Creel
Medley Pots offer a range of Side Entry Creel. Our creel are made of both 8mm and 10mm steel, all covered with 5mm quality braided netting.

Where
access to exposed areas of lake shore was difficult because of a thick fringe of reeds or silt,
creels were deployed on a long rope and thrown into open water which was most
productive.
It was initially intended to deploy a single creel in each lake, however early in the survey
it became clear that more creels were needed at each location. Surveyor experience and
discussions with recognised experts (David Holditch, Nottingham University and Mary
Gibson, English Nature) suggested that crayfish trapability is unpredictable and a trap in a
location known to support crayfish may not catch any.

"creel" is also used as the name for a type of bag or basket for carrying fish in, or for a fashion bag in a similar style, as shown here:

The Creel Bag is just too cute for words and is just what you'll need dashing around the country (or the city) doing errands. When you want to be hands free and don't need a larger bag, slip the Creel Bag on across your body and off you go!
