Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Carol Gullidge

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Sam Cogdell Dec 14, 2008:
Publisher, editor, director I agree that "poetry imprint" sounds fine, on analogy with other phrases that do turn up on Google search, including "fantasy imprint," "scholarly imprint," etc.
I think you might want to consider alternatives to using "publisher" in this context, though. Publishers I've worked for (university presses) usually had 'editors' or 'senior editors' in that position, and I see that there are more Google hits for both "editor of the imprint" and "director of the imprint" than for "publisher of the imprint." Just something to check out.
Kathryn Litherland Dec 13, 2008:
publisher of an imprint I think that "publisher of an [xxx] imprint" is a perfectly valid expression, despite the fact that it doesn't happen to produce any google hits as "publisher of a poetry imprint" (poetry imprints are fairly rare!)
e.g.:

"Writing the book on opportunity: publisher of black-oriented imprint takes a fearless approach to pursuing goals"

poetry imprint The Spanish indicates that the publisher has a poetry imprint, perhaps one of several different "labels" it publishes under. That is the meaning of "sello". Poetry publishing house could also be correct, but the examples given all refer to publishers that only publish poetry, and I think that is how it would be understood.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Kate Major Patience : Not one single hit for "publisher of a poetry imprint".
12 mins
Odd, that! Plenty for imprint and even poetry imprint though.
agree Kathryn Litherland : It's a perfectly acceptable expression. an imprint is a division within a publishing house, in this case one that specializes in poetry.

Thanks Carol. :) Yes, maybe the asker was doubting between various options such as "publishing company" and "publishing house", but I agree with your comment.

neutral patinba : This does for "editora" but not the rest of the question.

I do not understand your comment. My answer is correct, and the question is "sello editorial". I have also added references where you can find "poetry publishing house" too. Do tell me what information is missing, and I shall be glad to add it for you. :)
disagree Kathryn Litherland : editora is the publishing house. The sello de poesia is the poetry imprint affiliated with that publisher.

OK, yes, you could also use "poetry imprint", but not "publisher of a poetry imprint", I don´t think. I think in that case it would need to be "editor for a poetry imprint". Thanks for feedback!

(publishing) imprint

IMHO, strictly speaking the term "sello editorial" is "imprint", or even "publishing imprint".
If you want to specify it does poetry, I would use "poetry imprint", as patinba suggests and Kathryn Litherland understands.

Main Entry: imprint
b: an identifying name (as of a publisher) placed conspicuously on a product ; also : the name under which a publisher issues books c: an indelible distinguishing effect or influence
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/imprint[2]

"... Sometimes I see authors on lists talking about starting their own publishing imprint when they really mean publishing company. In some rare cases, authors do get the opportunity to start an imprint, meaning that an existing publisher finds their name or ideas so valuable they feel it deserves an independent list of its own. Those books will still be published by the parent company, but they’ll carry the name of the imprint on the binding and title page. It’s part branding strategy (for customers) and part selling strategy (to bookstores) because it gives the publisher the opportunity to list a promising book in the #1 slot of the new imprint. In that way, a large publishing company with a dozen imprints can have a dozen premier titles, while another large publishing company with only one imprint who publishes exactly the same number of books that year only has one premier title. Tricky, eh?..."
