Swedish term

forts. godk.

Swedish to English Law/Patents Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng
This is underlined on a document concerning the handover of chemical substances, and beneath it are the words, I ärendet har till Er översänts. I assume godk. is godkänd but I'm not sure about forts. in the context. I suspect it's obvious but I thought i'd ask.
Proposed translations (English)
1 +2 fortsatt godkännande

Discussion

Hanna Valenta Jan 27, 2009:
I think this is a case where you must ask the client. Better than guessing.
Matthew Preston (asker) Jan 27, 2009:
The document is a reminder sent out by the Chemical Agency, and the forts.godk is preceded by the name of the product in question, which is underlined with word "ärende" beneath it. Forts.godk is a separate line, again underlined with the sentence I mentioned earlier beneath it.
Kristina Thorne Jan 27, 2009:
What precedes the forts.? Is there text above it, or anything that seems to be running onto the following page?

fortsatt godkännande

Usually, I would think that forts. means fortsättning (like forts. följer), but here I think they are referring to the continued approval of the chemical (fortsatt godkännande i ärendet har till er översänts).

But it is a guess.

Could also be "fortsättningsvis godkänd".
Peer comment(s):

agree Samuel Gray : I agree with Kristina. It could also be fortsatt godkänd, of course with the same general meaning.
