German term
stofflich und thermisch verwertbar
Die Wirkstofflösung des XXXXX ist biologisch leicht abbaubar. Die Verpackung ist stofflich und thermisch verwertbar.
"stofflich verwertbar" means, I think, can be recycled. thermisch verwertbar possibly just means "kann verbrannt werden". Is there corresponding English expression for this phrase?

: personally, I wouldn't used 'recovered' unless compelled to. With 'thermische Verwertung', the material is patently not recovered, but its fuel value is utilised.

: I would disagree if I hadn't posted, but I think "thermally recovered" means that the plastic is melted dowm and re-used, as for example in expanded granules for packing material, but NOT incinerated.
