Словарный термин, впрочем, как и "скольжения". Здесь считаю "опорный" более подходящим к контексту (что не мешает опорному быть "скольжения" и наоборот).

thrust bearing - упорный, устанавливается с торца оси и предотвращает осевое перемещение вала. Опорный - на нем лежит вал. На принципиальном выборе (опорный - скольжения) именно здесь не настаиваю. Это разные характеристики, одна не противоречит другой. Зависит от того, что хотите подчеркнуть. Если отличие от подшипника качения - тогда подшипник скольжения.
