resolution
fits the context better. Kluwer Groot Polytechnisch Woordenboek gives "graduation, scale division", but I think "resolution" is more idiomatic.

'Reading' seems more idiomatic than either of the other two suggestions here. Calibration strikes me more as a process and resolution seems more at home, idiomatically, with magnification. 30 million + G-hits for scale reading.
