In Spain, companies that have only one shareholder are obliged to say so right there in their names: e.g. Patatalia, Sociedad Anónima Unipersonal (Patatalia, S.A.U.) or Estampita, Sociedad Limitada Unipersona (Estampita, S.L.U.).
I've never seen it written out like that ("de carácter unipersonal") but I believe that's what's going on.

John is right, in Spain it forms part of the company's name.

A sole proprietorship, or simply proprietorship (British English: sole trade) is a type of business entity which legally has no separate existence from its owner. Hence, the limitations of liability enjoyed by a corporation and limited liability partnerships do not apply to sole proprietors.
