An explanation of the concept
Hi Alice, I hope you don't mind if I give my explanation in English.
The positive net equity position of the company means that the company has surplus cash after having covered its operating costs, having made repayments on its liabilities etc. It is literally what is left in the company's pocket after all its financial commitments have been met (excluding payments to its shareholders).
Equity is the money invested by shareholders. To have a positive net equity position means that the company has money left over (after all financial commitments have been met) which it can distribute to its shareholders. A negative equity position means that the company is spending more money than it receives through shares.
As Arnold007 has pointed out, your question term is "negative net equity position" yet the text says "positive net equity position". Given the context, I think "positive net equity position" is the actual term. The company in question is obviously worried about starting to spend more money than it is receiving, and has decided to raise the issue with its lenders.
