RF-120 means 120 minutes fire resistant, Explanation: I worked in Carpentry for many years, that is the code for identifying fire resistance of 120 mins. But I fail to see the meaning of KC. Perhaps some other colleague can help. |

120-minute thermal conductivity fire resistence doors Explanation: "RF 120" is a fire resistance rating referring to how long the door should hold up (120 minutes) under fire conditions. I think it's a European norm and is probably expressed "RF" because it comes from French. http://www.brogelli.it/english/porte tagliafuoco-e.htm Single-leaf or Double-leaf Fire Door with class RF120 resistance, certified according to standard UNI9723 composed of: KC is possibly k(subscript)c, the mathematical symbol sometimes used for thermal conductivity in engineering. I'm very certain about the first part, but this second part of the term I'm less sure about. |
