Spanish term

yacimientos pobres

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Mining & Minerals / Gems
From the definitions in a Cuban mining operations contract:

"Área XXX significa ciertos yacimientos pobres de ciertas áreas de la zona sujeto de este Contrato a definir por las partes..."

I was going to translate "yacimientos pobres" simply as "poor deposits", but I'm wondering whether it would be more accurate to use "mineral-poor deposits", or whether the "mineral" is understood in this context. The contract relates to the mining of nickel, copper chromium and iron.

poor deposit/poor mineral deposit

Both are correct. Poor mineral deposit is more explicit.
