Yes, it is about changing atrial fibrillation to normal heart rate by electrical impulse (simply put). I think that vertovat is just a shortened version of konvertovat.

Comment: "Thank you. Yes, I see the word vertovať is associated with cardioverters, where the idea is "conversion" to normal rhythm. Vertovať seems to be used more generally for change to / convert. Dictionaries didn't help me on this one!"
