It looks like a word for switch/convert, something like that. I haven't found it in any dictionary.

vertovať = zmenit, previesť
Example sentence:

Rozhodnutie lekára o tom, či pacienta vertovať alebo ho ponechať vo fibrilácii predsiení, má zásadný význam pre ďalší manažment a osud chorého.

Peer comment(s):

neutral Martin Janda : The example sentence is about using a cardioverter. Nothing about changing...?

Yes, it is about changing atrial fibrillation to normal heart rate by electrical impulse (simply put). I think that vertovat is just a shortened version of konvertovat.
agree Miroslav Fedurco : vertovanie liečby = zmena liečby z jednej kombinácia na druhú

agree Maria Chmelarova : convert

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you. Yes, I see the word vertovať is associated with cardioverters, where the idea is "conversion" to normal rhythm. Vertovať seems to be used more generally for change to / convert. Dictionaries didn't help me on this one!"

It can't be anything else, judging from this context.
