This is from a prospectus for a solar energy installation. My guess is that 'steuerminden' should read 'steuermindend'. Context is:
'Die Rücklagen können abgezinst (5,5 %) über 20 Jahre steuermindern angesetzt werden.' My provisional translation:
'The reserves can be used to reduce tax at a discount (5.5%) over 20 years.' I'd be grateful for suggestions.

Agree with Brigitte that is should be steurmindernd. Your translation is okay and here's a slightly different alternative.
