Spanish term

Siempre decimos presente con la mas alta tecnologia

Spanish to English Art/Literary Advertising / Public Relations Slogan
Hi everyone!

This is a good one for all who like or need a good booster. Just note the word "presente" in the slogan is actually on its own, kind of standing alone between the whole set of words in the sentence, so whole sentence looks like:
Siempre decimos
Presente!
Con la mas avanzada tecnologia

Thanks for all the help and input.

Thanks everyone I appreciate everyone's suggestions and ideas. I will have the client pick his own choice from some of your suggestions and will will award Kudoz accordingly.

Thanks again for your valuable contributions.

Siempre decimos presente... I would not start or follow the same wording here: present in this case gives me the idea of presente! to mean ''we raise our hand'' we are here! This form of expression that works in an European etc, idiom or context is lost in English or so I believe. For this slogan to work in English or appeal to an English audience the slogan in the target language has to be interpreted and transformed accondingly to the country that suits best.

Siempre decimos
Presente!
Con la mas avanzada tecnologia

Can become something like this:

Looking for advanced technology?
Come and talk to us.
We can help you.

Or,

For all of your advanced technology needs
We are here 24/7

Sp-EnTranslator (asker) Jan 28, 2010:
Come to think about it, although the word Presente here stands by itself, it may be misleading though as far as whatever translation one decides to choose...for advertising purposes .
Sp-EnTranslator (asker) Jan 28, 2010:
I stand corrected: The sentence should read "Siempre decimos presente con la mas AVANZADA tecnologia".
Sorry and thanks again.

Ever-present at the roll-call of the cutting-edge

Or always present. Or similar.

A bit bombastic, perhaps, but that's advertising for you.

I guess 'cutting edge' could go in caps for AVANZADA.
Note from asker:
I like the roll-call idea with the word "Presente!" implied in it...Let's see what others have to say.
the roll-call idea OF the word "presente!" implied ...I think I should get some coffee or tea or chocolate...or maybe all of them!

agree Evans (X) : I like the way you have incorporated the sense of the original here, without it sounding weird as it does in the other suggestions.

We always say, "Present", with the most advanced technology

i.e. as people say in the army, in class at school, etc. In other words, where it comes to advanced technology, the company is always there, or present.
Note from asker:
Thank you Margaret- I was thinking of something catchy or trendy as advertising lingo goes. My own version so far goes as "Always Present-Always Ahead", but I'm not sure if I'm anywhere near with this...

agree Remy Arce : well aligned with Claudia's correction.

Thanks, Remy!
neutral philgoddard : I don't think a literal translation works at all.

agree Laura Carrizo : We always say "Present!" with the most advanced technology - I'd just change punctuation.

We always say, "HERE!", with the latest/avant-garde technology

We are always on the cutting edge when it comes to the most advanced technology.

OR:

You can always count on us to provide [only] the most advanced technology.

The two previous answers, which are essentially literal translations of the Spanish, both sound unnatural in English.

For this type of material, the important thing is to convey the underlying message in way that sounds natural (and that is preferably compelling as well).

Suerte.

We're always there, and with cutting-edge technology!

I think this sounds natural and gets the message across.

We always welcome the most advanced technology with a, "Yes!"

It's another option!

We always say / here now / with the most advanced technology

I believe the idea of PRESENTE in the Spanish original is to convey sense of opportunity, and I believe HERE NOW does it in an appealing way.

Responding to all your requirements with the latest technology

I think we are busy proving that advertising slogans are not meant to be translated, but rather reinterpreted

I couldn't agree more! Thanks!

We always say Yes! with our cutting-edge technology.

Seems like they have a "Yes, we can" or "Can do" attitude so perhaps the above would be less of a cliché and might work.
