English term

letdown station

English to French Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
Hello everyone,

I need some help ;-)

I can see what is being refered to in English as a letdown station (see first schematic)

http://www.khace.com/services/simulation/steamsystems.html

But I can't find any satisfying technical equivalent in French.

Excellent kashew merci beaucoup! C'est exactement ce que je cherchais.. Just wasn't able to put my finger on it
kashew Mar 2, 2010:
A definition: A let down station is a control valve of some sorts where the sole purpose is to drop the system pressure to some required amount in a very precise controlled fashion. This can be done with either a control loop (pressure transmitter and actuated valve) or a self contained pressure regulator.
Tony.J.A.@DT (asker) Mar 2, 2010:
Sorry I should have been more specific, what we are looking for here is a DEVICE.

The Context phrase:
If the parameter being controlled (Aux, etc...) is also being controlled by another device (LETDOWN STATION, boiler, or another turbine), droop is typically required for control loop stability
