Alternative to statistical inspection:
For a given packaging component (PC) reference, the supplier may take the responsibility of stopping the statistical inspection in accordance with the ISO 2859 standard before shipping, on one or more specified characteristics, provided that it has deployed in its premises:
- either *unitary control testing* based on an automatic or manual system that systematically inspects the characteristics concerned and which eliminates nonconforming PC in accordance with the appropriate organization,
- or the methodology of Statistical Process Controll (SPC).

Je nach nach Art des Prozesses und dessen Entwicklungsstand in der Produktion (-> Prozessfähigkeit) ist entweder eine Vollprüfung in Bezug auf die vorgesehenen Merkmale oder eine Prüfung im Rahmen der statistischen Prozesslenkung (statistical process control, SPC) durchzuführen.
Bei der Vollprüfung wird jedes Teil geprüft; SPC-Prüfungen basieren dagegen stets auf Stichproben (sampling).
Wenn die Vollprüfung *alle* Qualitätsmerkmale umfasst, handelt es sich um eine Stück-für-Stück-Prüfung mit *vollständiger* Qualitätsprüfung, was hier aber wohl nicht der Fall ist (vgl. ... systematically inspects the characteristics concerned ...).
