Danish term

forudsat/forudsættes

Danish to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation Action plan for renewable energy

I'm having trouble with the interpretation of these two words.

it is a precondition/it is assumed

something like that

... and the fact that you note ' something like that' says it all ;-)
Peer comment(s):

agree Nikolaj Widenmann : I would use assumed in this case

agree Susanne Friesen : I absolutely agree that "assume" is the correct term in the context, specifically meaning as per Webster's: "To take for granted, or without proof; to suppose as a fact; to suppose or take arbitrarily or tentatively.[Websters]"

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Sounds good to me. I used presupposes initially, but precondition may do it."

Assume

I quoted the Webster definition from here.
Moreover, "statistical assumption" in fact is a term used in statistical terminology.
