Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): AllegroTrans

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

this is a 9 semester program

At least in the US, program would be the appropriate term.

Could also be "degree program"

agree Charles Davis : Presumably US English required here, so fine; sounds natural.

agree Jenni Lukac (X) : I'd add "degree" to program/programme.

agree AllegroTrans : program/programme; leave out "degree" it's not in the original and it avoids any attempt to "convert" the term to US, UK or anywhere else

The degree course takes 9 semesters to complete

A bit longer but imo think it needs to be spelled out. "course" or perhaps "major" should be added to degree. "program" might be ok for US but imo think it's too vague and ambiguous.

or... lasts 9 semesters
or...has a duration of 9 semesters
Peer comment(s):

agree kalungo : Emphasis is on "professional" degree (i.e., "carrera". Score one for Gallagy2!

the duration of the degree is 9 semesters

I have seen it written that way in many degree descriptions.

I hope it helps.

It is a nine-semester course of study.

Tal vez "program" suena muy amplio y un poco vago. Tal vez
"course of study" es un poco más específico.
