When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

Armorel Young Jan 7, 2011:
OK, we're a bit clearer now as to what the issue is. I still think we may just be looking at the obvious - if there's a "plan provider" then there's a plan that says that people make payment x and get benefit y in return. It seems to me likely that this person's job is to resolve difficulties that arise in connection with implementation of this plan - i.e. the transactions that it involves.

Incidentally, what is the job title for this job description and what other sorts of things does this person do? - all those sorts of information would contribute to the context.
Mark Chen (asker) Jan 7, 2011:
Hi Armorel. Thanks for the reply. "Resolves transactional issues " appears in repeatedly in different job descriptions, for example, retirement program, executive benefits, life insurance. So I am a little worried that it might not simply mean "in connection with particular transactions" here.
Armorel Young Jan 7, 2011:
Mark, it's clear that you aren't finding our contributions helpful, but on the other hand you haven't given us a lot to go on either. Can you explain in more detail just what the difficulty is? As with all Kudoz questions, the more specific the detail you provide,
the higher the quality of the answers you will get. You need to let us know where you've got to with your own interpretation and at what point you get stuck.

Y. Peraza Jan 7, 2011:
Thanks. That's why I was asking...
Sharon Toh, MITI MCIL Jan 6, 2011:
@Yaiza: I believe that it's obvious the asker is seeking an explanation on the meaning. That said, the meaning of the term in question is so obvious or easily checked out, isn't it? :)
Y. Peraza Jan 6, 2011:
And your question is? ;-)

relating to transactions

a transaction being a deal or an item of commercial business - so the task is to resolve problems that arise in connection with particular transactions or transactions in general
Note from asker:
We are talking about "pay programs" here. How would it be related to a transaction or a deal?
Stephanie's comment makes more sense to me. I can pick one meaning in the dictionary. Everyone can do it. That is not what I want. What I want is what it means in this context.

agree Sharon Toh, MITI MCIL : I agree with this answer, and my comment on the asker's notes is: There are monetary and other transactions related to 'pay programs', so why not?

agree Stephanie Ezrol : I think it is more the individual item or transation not a deal in this case.It would then mean dealing with particular items not policy or other geneneral issues
