While there might be a literal translation "zárt feliratozás" I dislike the term, because an average Hungarian mortal would have to research what the word "zárt" (closed) means in the given context. Therefore I prefer to use the recommended term, which means "captioning that can be activated by the viewer". That makes more sense to me.

Discussion
Closed captioning is basically an instant subtitling service for the hearing-impaired. It is offered by most networks in the US and Canada as well as some European countries.
In fact, it is my understanding this service is not available is many countries, so the closest option is "open captions" or "subtitles". Is this the case in Hungary?
