Previous to the proposal of the M&S exact generalization of von Neumann's Law, there had been several attempts to correlate the number of faces of a bubble with growth rate; it is apparent that M&S Theory is independent of the number of faces of the bubbles, but is instead dependent upon total edge length and one length dimension.

上記文中の最後の｢one length dimension｣の定訳を教えてください。　そのすぐ前にも｢total edge length｣と｢length｣が出てくるんですが、その関係もいまいち理解できてません。
