German term

Bauteileinmessung

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) Laser ablation
Context:

I suspect this may be something like set-up or calibration, but that's just a hunch.

* Sentence or paragraph where the term occurs: See above
* Document type: Manufacturing instruction
* Target audience: Aerospace engineers
* Country and dialect (source): Germany
* Country and dialect (target): American English

Discussion

David Williams (asker) Apr 8, 2011:
How about "automatic measurement setup" or simply "automatic setup"? That gets plenty of results in the context of lasers, although admittedly none with ultrasonic distance sensors and only one with "ultrasonic proximity sensor" and one with "laser ablation".

component mapping
