Definição de "Intermittent" adj. 1. Stopping and starting at intervals.

intermittent audible signal in a temporal-3 (T3) format

"Intermitente" e "contínuo" parecem-me contraditórios. Segundo Merriam-Webster intermittent quer dizer "coming and going at intervals: not continuous".

intermittent audible signal in a temporal-3 (T3) pattern

This is my revised version. In this context I think "pattern" sounds better than "format".

"This pattern for smoke alarms is named the Temporal-Three alarm signal, often referred to as 'T-3'." (Quoted from Wikipedia)
Example sentence:

The SafeAwake responds to any US domestic or commercial smoke detector manufactured after 1996 that requires the audible signal sound to emit an intermittent pattern in a standard temporal-3 (T3) audible format).

Portuguese term (edited): SINAL SONORO INTERMITENTE (3 toques) E CONTÍNUO

continuous three-beep alarm

Once the charge is completed the charger will give one long beep and then a continuous three-beep cycle with the LED flashing, indicating that the charge is finished.

If I can't see you, you can't see me. The clock, however, has different plans for me. Steady as a foghorn, the continuous three-beep intervals penetrate my feather-filled wall and wage war on my ears.

We came in, and heard a three beep alarm out in the other building, and I was annoyed, thinking that it would stay that way all night. It wasn't long afterwards when the rest of the sirens started coming, and we realized that something was legitimately amiss.
