German term

Holzfaserstoff vs Holzfaserwerkstoff

German to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Mir ist nicht deutlich, ob es sich um dasselbe Material handelt. Hat jemand eine Idee? Im Text kommt auch noch Holzwerkstoff vor. Danke schön.

Horst Huber (X) May 15, 2011:
I would not be so presumptuous, and I would not denigrate the product. Those were the days, when it was very important in people's lives. In some ways, they were the good old days.
Textklick May 15, 2011:
Bad old days? Surely Horst you're not going to tell me that after all these years MDF is no longer in use in Germany? (Mitteldichte-Faserplatte/medium-density fibre board)
Horst Huber (X) May 10, 2011:
In the bad old days, things (furniture) were made of something called "Holzfaserplatte", I think around here they call it fiber board, and I have seen it referred to more often lately.

wood fibers/fibres vs wood fiber/fibre material

und Holzwerkstoff könnte man einfach wood nennen.
Natürlich fehlt ohne konkreten Kontext ein wenig der direkte Bezug ...

agree Textklick : The difference between the terms questioned is virtually zero. Best ask the client how they understand the difference.
