What is EZA?
The European Centre for Workers’ Questions (EZA) is a network consisting of 67 workers’ organisations from 24 different countries that are committed to Christian social values.
Members of EZA are workers’ organisations, as well as educational facilities and research entities that deal with questions concerning workers.
EZA has additional partners all over Europe and maintains relations to workers’ organisations in Central and South America as well as in Africa.
EZA has two central aims:
- the promotion of social dialogue and the discussion concerning social challenges on the European level
- the promotion of the social and economical development of society as well as of the European integration in the workers’ area
In this context, EZA feels obliged to contribute to solving social questions and those concerning workers.
Above all in a Europe, where the gap between the poor and the rich is increasing, EZA is especially obliged to help the socially disadvantaged. EZA has the point of view that education can lead to a better social coherence in order to counteract this tendency.
The work of EZA is promoted by the European Union.
