may ترجمتي لها كانت كالتالي لكن كلمة
غير صحيحة هنا بهاذا المعنى "قد" هنا تعني امكانية حدوث وليس جواز. ارجو منكم المساعدة لانني حديث العهد في الترجمة القانونية الى الانجليزية

You could also use "could". I understand that "may" may be ambiguous, as it could also mean "is allowed to". However, in your sentence "may attempt to" there is no way it could be understood to mean "is allowed to attempt to", in my opinion.
