Well, that was what I wanted to express. Translating a nicely written text is much easier than a complicated one. Maybe we shouldn't only teach "translation business" to our clients, but also how to write. I believe writting nicely is a service some professionals give.

Absolutely. I ddin't mean to say the text was well written, just that it's the sort of stuff you run into all the time in bureaucratic texts here. It's bad enough having to pick your brains to understand them in your native language, let alone for a foreign-language translator to render them into his/her own. :O) Unfortunately, this kind of wording isn't even limited to official texts. I can't even start to describe how difficult I found it to start studying in the Spanish education system as a teenager, despite being virtually 100% bilingual (and an excellent student) at the time! :O)

Yes, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but "incentivables" isn't the only problem of this text: like using ayuda instead of subsidio or subvención; or descontar ayuda instead of descontar el monto de ayuda or el subsidio; like starting a line with a verb and not saying who does the action.

Hi tc,
Perhaps a good example of how usage differs across Spanish-speaking countries. To me, it reads quite normally. The only bit I find a bit striking is 'incentivables', but then again, Spanish bureaucrats are prone to making words like these up.

I can't go through this without saying that it's a terrible text. Sounds as if it has been previously translated to spanish with Google or some other stupid program.
