Il faut laisser s'évaporer les solvants de l'hydrobase jusqu'à ce que la couche soit mate avant d'appliquer la deuxième couche. To flash off est la même chose a priori (aussi dans l'imprimerie). De façon plus jolie et plus courte, on pourrait aussi dire "laisser sécher" tout simplement!

it means it loses it's luminosity (becomes mat) as it dries...difficult term to render in French...however I do like how Frankie paraphrases it.."laisser sécher"
