Contract between a film producer and director.

Need a bit of help with this sentence. Not sure I've expressed it correctly or attractively :) For the UK. Thanks.

Here's my current draft:

".....with both parties accepting that this Contract is of a intuitu personae nature with respect to the DIRECTOR."


El DIRECTOR se obliga a realizar el encargo encomendado y a prestar sus servicios conforme a la máxima calidad y diligencia exigible a los directores profesionales, teniéndose especialmente en cuenta que LA PRODUCTORA le han escogido por el alto nivel de calidad en sus trabajos y por sus demás cualidades personales, artísticas y profesionales, asumiendo ambas partes que el presente contrato tiene carácter intuitu personae respecto del DIRECTOR.

This is what it says and means although it is a legal nonsense because all employment contracts are intuitu personae.

Leaving "intuitu personae" in the text is probably perfectly acceptable in this contractual context, but the above clarification around personal service contract could be added. There are lots of references to this on the web. Best wishes. Sian.

neutral FVS (X) : The problem is that intuitu personae carries all sort of legal consequences with it but as I say it is a legal nonsense in an employment contract which is always intuitu personae and for personal services.
