Medical (general)
In a handwritten medical report from Peru, the diagnosis given as "Virosis epd, B34.9". Based on the fact that B34.9 is the ICD-10 code for "viral infection, unspecified", I'm wondering if "epd" might be some kind of abbreviation for "unspecified", but I'm uncertain of what it stands for exactly. Any suggestions?

If this is a pulmonary patient, I'd say it's for Enfermedad Pulmonar Difuso, Diffuse Pulmonary Disease or DPD in English.

For the future. This gives you 6 other possibilities for epd (I'm not arguing against Dr. Jason's) plus thousands of other Spanish medical abbreviations.

Discussion
Or something like "etiología pendiente de determinación" (just a really wild guess)?
