I really can't quite gt my head round the second half of this sentence. It seems to make no sense to me. Can you make sense of it?

I should admit that I haven't found any other examples of the maintenance department or maintenance staff being called just Instandhaltung (as in "I've talked to maintenance"?) outside of this example. It makes the most sense of the grammar of the sentence though, and it seems perfectly likely.
