French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Hello,
This is a passage from a Swiss financial report. I am having trouble understanding this part, especially the phrase highlighted.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Consolidation et diversification de l’allocation de la section or et matières premières avec l’addition du fond ZKB Gold ETF version non hedgée. hold gold in a commodity that doesn't hedge its exposure to currencies

... this seems to be a fairly literal translation although, to me it seems, a bit counter-intuitive. Does the document really use "ne couvre PAS..." or could it be "un produit qui ne couvre ses expositions..." That is to say, " a commodity that hedges its exposure to currencies."???

hold gold via an instrument not hedged against foreign exchange risks

Given the correction in the value of the USD, the firm believed that its holding of gold (via a financial instrument) would best be achieved via an instrument that did not bear the additional costs of hedging against related currency risks.
