Hello everyone,
Juveniles learn social skills in relationships with peers. For example, making and breaking friendships, developing communication skills, being attracted to someone else, dealing with persuasion, supporting each other in times of family stress. Those who are lonely and isolated suffer from the loss of these opportunities
Does "dealing with persuasion" mean acting with persuassion, conducting oneself toward others with persuassion, i.e. a juvenile learns to conduct oneself toward others with persuassion?
Thank you.

coping with attempts to persuade them
I think this refers to their reaction to persuasion rather than to their own efforts to persuade others.

apprendre à réagir dans des situations de persuasion
I think that "dealing with persuasion" means dealing with situations when persuasion is involved in general, whether it is about having the skills to persuade somebody else or react to somebody else's persuasion attempts. Just my 2 cents...

sorry, didn't see it was an English to English question :-) I should change my title to: "learn how to react in situations of persuasion".

resisting persuasion coming from others
The expression "dealing with" suggests that the term means learning how to handle, and perhaps resist, persuasive pressure coming from someone else. "Learning to be persuasive" would have a totally different meaning.

exercising their own power of persuasion
That has to do with 1) a friendly advise;2) with the insisting on something they think is right and 3) the attempts to encourage to join in a venture upon something.
