Italian term or phrase: lettura plurale
How can I translate into English the Italian form "Lettura plurale"?
Here the context: Tutto ciò conferisce una certa versatilità al testo, offrendo ogni volta una traduzione divera ed autoriale, rendendo (titolo dell'opera)una lettura plurale, ciascuna assolutamente incredibile.

I thought of: polyphony in literature, but I think it is much more related to the different voices and narrators in a book...

Thank you for your suggestions

Explanation:
Hi Julie, I think you could use "choral reading" - it is a reading in group, by several persons.

Hi Julie, the term "choral reading" is used for groups who read aloud a text and in the variety of voices help others to read it fluently but, it also gives the audience a chance to "interpret" a same text in different "moods", with incredible variety of meanings and giving each single performance an "autorial" influence though different each single one from the others.
Yet, it is also true, that the significance of the text in Italian you sent, may also be interpreted as a way of "understanding" in various ways a same text and giving of it a different version by each person who reads it, making it "incredible" as per its huge variety of forms and not by the reading contents itself. If you wish, try also "MULTIPLE VERSIONS READING " .Hope this has been of help!

plural reading

Explanation:
If this is literary criticism, a literal translation is possible, "plural reading" being a term used by Barthes etc. Jim is right, we need more context to be sure.

Example sentence(s):
  • "…in which the text is divided up into fragments or 'lexias' and catalogued according to five semantic codes, with the intention of providing not a single, authoritative (authorial) interpretation, but rather a polysemous, 'plural' reading."

Explanation:

offering a different and original translation each time, so that xxx contains a variety of texts, each absolutely...
Confidence is very low, because I am guessing the context.
I'm assuming this is a book containing a number of texts, each translated by different translators, so "lettura plurale" just means different things to read: "a variety of texts".

disagree  James (Jim) Davis: This is a teaching technique, used a lot with primary school children and in language teaching. IMHO it makes no sense at all in the context.

disagree  Yvonne Gallagher: agree with James. Of course we got very little context anyway but really can't see this as being correct here
