German term

programmatisch verkünden

German to English Marketing Business/Commerce (general)
Hallo,

I'm looking for suggestions for a neat way to translate this in the context of the following sentence:

"Das SystemXXX 2012 trägt einen klangvollen Namen, der seinen Anspruch programmatisch verkündet:
The SystemXXX 2012"

It's a marketing brochure for an innovative laboratory system.

Any ideas gratefully received.

Thanks in advance!

German term (edited): (programmatisch) verkündet
Selected

spells out

... trägt einen klangvollen Namen, der seinen Anspruch programmatisch verkündet.
... has a resonant name that spells out precisely what it claims to do

I can understand why you wouldn't want to include 'programmatically' in your translation.
Note from asker:
That's a good idea, Andrew! (and yes, I am certainly not keen on programmatically!)

agree Cetacea : @Armorel: Probably refers to the popular German marketing phrase "Der Name ist Programm".

To 'spell out' leans more toward "verdeutlichen" and misses the connotation of taking charge of the future (i.e. programmatisch/forward-looking). I know, not possible, just marketing hype.
Of course, 'ambitious' is also possible

boasts an appealing name, giving expression to its aspirations in exemplary fashion

In this case, I think that "programmatisch" can be understood in the sense of "vorbildlich"
