I believe that this (or fundus of the eye) to be more common among native English users.

: ACtually, in my 19 yrs as an MD, I've never seen "eye bottom" in any textbook or medical article.... It's either "eye fundus" or "fundoscopy", i.e., an ophtalmoscopic exam...
