Japanese term
スルホニル基である請求項1記載の化合物

Still working on the same patent document as yesterday. Just about to finish. Once again, I apologize for the amount of Japanese text here, but it is necessary for the sake of context (or so I believe). Below is the Japanese and the way in which I translated it. I am just worried about how to properly render the 「である」in this sentence. As always, any assistance is greatly appreciated!
A pharmaceutical composition wherein R1 is a chemical compound defined in Claim 1 having a cycloalkyl group that may have a substituent group, an amino group that may have a substituent group, a carbonyl group that may have a substituent group, a sulfonyl group that may have a substituent group, or a pharmacologically permissible salt thereof as its active ingredient.

compound according to Claim 1, wherein ... a sulfonyl group ...
In this dependent claim, "である" is the predicate of "R1が (subject)". That is, in the invention of this claim, R1 for the compound represented by the chemical formula (as defined in Claim 1), or permacologically acceptable sats thereof is restricted, or specified, i.e., defined to a certain functional group, such as a cycloalkyl group which may have a substituent group. Further, the objective invention is "phermaceutical composition".
I would like to suggest to make reference to another similar patent claims, though.
The claim can be translated as follows:
"The pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound, or a phermacologically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient according to Claim 1, wherein R1 is a cycloalkyl group which may have a substituent group, an amino group which may have a substituent group, a carbonyl group having a substituent group, or a sulfonyl group having a substituent group."

Please subsititute the 'having' in the following sentence:
[A pharmaceutical composition wherein R1 is a chemical compound defined in Claim 1 having a cycloalkyl group that may have a substituent group]
with 'belonging to', and the description will be complete.
i.e.
A pharmaceutical composition wherein R1 is a chemical compound defined in Claim 1 belonging to the cycloalkyl group that may have a substituent group, or the amino group that may have a substituent group,...

see answer below
R1 in structural formulae is always a group, not the compound itself.
The whole thing should be:
A pharmaceutical composition having as its active ingredient the compound according to claim 1 or a pharmacologically permissable salt thereof, wherein R1 is an optionally substituted cyclkoalkyl group, an optionally substituted amino group....etc.
