From your sentence and the examples for "fartidstid"at the first link I provide below, I think it's fairly certain that "experience" is the appropriate word. In this particular case, I would use "years of experience" probably. You'll see that formulation quire regularly in this context – examples are at the second link.

Thank you! As you say, it should really be 'fartstid', but I wanted to be sure - it is obviously a common 'misspelling', as it pops up quite a bit in a Google search. I am going for 'years of experience'.

agree Per Bergvall : fartidstid is not a Norwegian word - it is clearly fartstid, originally number of years at sea, now years of experience as suggested. Tenure would be less than appropriate, as fartstid could be with umpteen different companies without gaining tenure.

Thanks. FYI, "tenure" is also used simply to refer to the length of time in a position or situation, regardless of whether any rights are granted: "He was a translator of long tenure at Statoil, until he joined Bellona." ;-)

agree Lene Johansen : years of experience or years in position. I would presume the executive team has more experience than time in position. I agree with Charles that Tenure is a good English substitute.
