Russian term

Кто успел, тот купил

Russian to English Marketing Marketing / Market Research Slogan
Помогите перевести слоган супермаркета "Кто успел, тот купил". Суть акции в том, что в течение дня на определенные товары, количество которых ограничено, устанавливается значительная скидка. Мой вариант (Come first, pay less) как-то не очень нравится ((

а если так - Grab it first, pay less!
Mark Berelekhis Jan 22, 2013:
That's not really English. And by "not really" I mean not at all.

А если вот так попробовать: Who comes first, never be late! Ваши мнения, господа...

First Come, First Served

is the standard and most commonly used expression whenever some goodies and stuff are “up for grabs,” but I also like all the other suggestions, including the Asker’s own original idea. Здесь можно и нужно проявить максимум креатива! Небо is the limit!

More of the same:
"... while supplies / stocks last"
"A special offer price ... as long as (our) stocks last"

neutral Alice Nevermore : First come, first served — это порядок обслуживания посетителей (живая очередь, без предварительной записи): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-come,_first-served ...while supplies / stocks last — да (ответила то же самое, потом заметила в вашей поправке)

Apparently, it's an Australian expression. So I am not sure how it will be received in other countries.

It's not meant literally, so can be used with anything.

Here's how the free dictionary explains it:

something that you say which means that the first people to do something will get something first or will have an advantage. Fo example: "I've got ten free tickets to the movies to hand out, so it's first in, best dressed."

My only concern that it is specifically Australian.
Note from asker:
Sounds great, really. The only concern is that the supermarket also sells food stuff. Do you think "best dressed" be suitable here?

The early bird catches the worm

If someone says, "The early bird catches the worm," he/she means that if you do something early or before anyone else, you will have an advantage and be successful.

While stocks last

Устоявшееся выражение. В американском варианте возможен вариант "while supplies last"
