While posting here is a great way to let us sharpen our skills, I came to the conclusion it is unethical to use the Kudoz board to translate terms on medical journals. Allow me to elaborate.
Kudoz is a group of independent translators competing against each other for a few points. While we are capable people, the factors in play, such as reputation and friendships, even internal politics, can put a patients life in jeopardy, because the factors I named can be used in a competitive manner and can be detrimental to professionalism.
The smart thing to do, and I have done this more than a couple of times, is call a central hospital up, ask to talk with a nurse, and perhaps you will need a doctor in the end, but most of the time, the staff is more than willing to provide you with information, perhaps an answer.
Please, withdraw the question.

It could indeed be a person I have found another ´bv´ who is certainly a ´bagvagt´.
But any other suggestions are still welcome - I don´t know what KLAN stands for here.
