La explicación de Jenni es correcta; pero entiendo que necesitas traducir este término al español. Se trata de una especie de cupones.
Hace mucho tiempo que existen promociones que consisten en coleccionar cierto número de "box tops", las solapas superiores de los paquetes de productos, sobre todo de cereales, y canjearlos por algún premio. Recuerdo una alusión a esta costumbre de una de las canciones satíricas de Tom Lehrer, de los años cincuenta:
"Our lieutenant is the up-and-coming type.
Played with soldiers as a boy you just can bet.
It is written in the stars
He will get his captain's bars,
But he hasn't got enough box tops yet"

Como el término es muy conocido en este sentido, sobre todo en Estados Unidos, se ha adoptado como nombre de un programa llamado "Box Tops for Education":
"Box Tops for Education has helped America’s schools earn over $475 million since 1996. You can earn cash for your child’s school by clipping Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating products."
