Medical - Medical (general) / Carotid doppler scan
Spanish term or phrase: trayecto y recorrido de las arterias
This is from a report of carotid doppler scan results:

"El trayecto y recorrido de las arterias carótida común, carótida interna y externa es normal bilateralmente."

My main uncertainty is about the word "trayecto". Is it correct to just translate this as "trajectory" in English ... is this common usage? I find almost no google hits for "trajectory of the artery" or "trajectory of the (+ the name of any artery)".

I also don't understand what they're referring to when they say "trayecto". I would use "course" for "recorrido", but just don't know what to do with this "trayecto".

Thanks for your input and suggestions.
