What industry/sector are we talking about here? Vormusterung/Nachmusterung comes up in fashion/retail/textiles, see also Musterung im Modebereich:

I think, that it is a customer specific term, not an official SAP term. however, with David's comment, it would be possible to derive something like:

main examination of merchandise/goods...

my answer was meant more as a general term, which contains this expression. As it seems, your customer stages an examination of all the possible Merchandise before they are putting any of the data into their system (SAP system?) and start with a concise planning process...
still, please give more context! At this stage, all I can say is mere guess work...

SAP term? I'm not sure either, but I do have an SAP glossary which offers "physical examination" for "Musterung" on its own. "Merchandise planning" doesn't quite seem to ring the bell for me in the context you give, but I'm not sure exactly what is involved, so I can't really offer any more help.

Das ist... ...meines Wissens kein SAP-Begriff. Jedenfalls lässt sich dazu im Glossar und in der Hilfe kein Treffer finden.
Kannst Du eventuell etwas mehr Kontext liefern?

INTERSPORT Schweiz wählt für den Bereich Grosshandel mit Eigenmarken aus dem Gesamtsortiment von IIC einen Teil als Sortiment für die Schweizer Geschäfte aus. Die Artikelmuster dieses Sortiments werden von ICH bei der so genannten Musterung in der Zentrale in Ostermundigen ausgestellt. An diesen Tagen können die Fachhandelspartner die Muster betrachten und vor Ort die Artikel für die kommende Saison bestellen. Im Anschluss werden die Waren von den Herstellern produziert und an die ICH geliefert.
