Norwegian term
ressurs (in this context)
Norwegian to English
Bus/Financial
Human Resources
"Dersom det er flere som skal gjennomføre opplæringen, utarbeid en oversikt over prioritering av avdelingens
ressurser/kandidater, evt. i hvilken rekkefølge ressursene skal tilbys opplæringen."
I've not had the (dubious) pleasure for some time of working personally in an environment where human resources are managed. :-) Anyone have a notion how this usage might be currently worded in the corporate environment? "Staff" and "personnel" seem somehow inadequate to the task in this instance.

employee
This often depends on the company. I have a Norwegian client with international subsidiaries that likes to use "people" as much as possible. "Talent" is another one "talent management". But often there's no better option than "employee" or, "personnel" if you can use the plural form. I would ask the client or, if not possible, check out what similar companies in the UK/US use for guidance.

Oops, so it is! Thanks Chris and sorry Charles.

Workforce seems to be appropriate for this context.
15 hrs
resource
Why is nobody suggesting the obvious 'resource(s)'? Its relevance should be confirmed by the R in HR...
Note from asker:
Despite its presence in "human resources", I've never seen it used alone to refer to people. Even back in the days when I spoke daily with an HR Director. |

: Because we don't use it willy-nilly like the Norwegians do!
